AARON WATSON — Texas country musician Aaron Watson, touring behind his new album “Real Good Time,” will perform on Thursday night at the Long Horn Saloon in Fort Smith. “Real Good Time” cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard Country Chart upon its release. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance through longhornsaloon fortsmith.com or $15 at the door.

Exodus --- Taking a quick break from the Metal Alliance Tour, which also includes Anthrax, California-based thrash metal band Exodus will perform a headlining show on Monday at Rogue on Dickson in Fayetteville. The band has been performing for more than 30 years but remains quite active, releasing their latest album, Exhibit B: The Human Condition, in 2010 and prepping a new album scheduled for later this year. Also performing at the show, which begins at 8:30 p.m., are Vore, Macrocosm and Hymns. Tickets are $15 in advance through www.arkansaslivemusic.com or $18 at the door.

Kris Allen --- Conway native and American Idol winner Kris Allen is currently on a tour called Out Alive.That's particularly fitting considering the vocalist was injured in a car accident on New Year's Day. Recuperated and back on the road, Allen will perform on Monday night at George's Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville. Inspired by science fiction, black metal and debauchery, the band has been touring for more than 25 years. Their current outing, the Bloody Pit of Horror tour, brings them Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Okla., on April 20 and to The Rev Room in Little Rock on April 21. Ticket prices vary. Keisha Hickman, above from left, Juan Gonzalez and Celina Bustamante, all from Springdale High School’s engineering and architecture academy work Thursday morning on the robot that will be entered in the “Ultimate Ascent” competition. The robot will be required to climb and launch flying discs. The competition is part of the Razorback Regional FIRST Robotics Competition in Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville. The three day competition has more than 40 school participating from Arkansas and surrounding states.
