Maeve Hintz (above) lets out a cheer Saturday before the start of the Fourth of July bike parade on Saturday around the Bentonville square. Walmart Visitor Center provided patriotic decorations for parents and volunteers to deck out the bikes of about 150 young riders who pedaled the three-block route. The Spark Cafe handed out free ice cream to each rider after the parade. Organizers scheduled the event for Satuday because of a busy slate of activities for most families on July 4, said Alan Ley with Bike Bentonville, an organization that promotes cycling in the city.
