Giovani Pop, Benton County Sheriff’s Deputy, runs through a nonemergency obstacle course Monday in the parking lot of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers. Deputy Rick Holland said the course is designed for deputies to practice using their countyissued vehicle at speeds below 30 mph in an effort to prevent accidents and sharpen driving skills. Deputies had to maneuver through faux round-a-bouts and parking spaces in addition to driving the vehicle forwards and backwards. More than 70 deputies will participate in the training.
