Katie Beamer walks a pair of boots out the door Wednesday of friend Tiffany Hughes’ home after flash flooding swept through the neighborhood early in the morning in Johnson. The water damaged homes and caused some of the cars parked in front of the homes to float into one another. Lines on the walls shows how high the water reached in the home. Some residents think recent nearby construction played a part in flooding the neighborhoods. Hughes said she woke up to the storm and a small bit of water coming in the front door. However, water soon began flooding in to multiple rooms forcing her to escape from her window with the help of a neighbor.
