Justin Shirley, assistant groundskeeper, fills in dirt near a sprinkler head which was moved farther away from the first baseline Thursday at Arvest Ballpark during the infield’s renovation. About 1.25 acres of Patriot Bermudagrass will be replaced on the infield and aprons, or sides of the fields. Portions of the grass, near first and third base, will also be replaced with dirt. Renovation to the field is in part due to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Arvest Ballpark hosting the Texas League All-Star game on June 25.
