Volunteers Carol Barnett, from left, Michele Del Sol, Page Kraichoke and board member Sara Koenig prepare bags of food and household items Monday afternoon at the new location of the Cooperative Emergency Outreach at 1649 Huntsville Road in Fayetteville. Cooperative Emergency Outreach provides rental assistance, food, clothing, medicine and transportation to people in need. The volunteer organization relies exclusively on donations, mostly from churches in Washington County. Hours are 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Don Bennett, founder and director of Tri Cycle Farms, hands wood sorrel to Sarah Marsh, Fayetteville city council member, to try Monday night at the Fayetteville farm. The Fayetteville City Council, local officials and members of the public toured the farm at 1691 North Garland Avenue. The tour was an opportunity to see an example of urban agriculture in advance of a discussion about possible policy changes that could include encouraging more gardens in parks and public rights of way.

The sale will benefit the children’s and teens’ book collections. The sale will run through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day except for Thursday evening when it will be open from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Wrestling coach Joe Stafford talks Tuesday to his students during a warm-up session at a wrestling camp for youth being held at The Annex, a part of the Rogers School District on South First Street. About 40 to 50 youths from grade-school to high school age are learning the fundamentals of wrestling at the camp that runs through Friday. Stafford, a collegiate All-American, is sixth on the all-time career win list at the University of Oklahoma and has 10 years of college coaching experience.

Cutting invasive plants and further maintenance was possible through the Watershed Conservation Resource Center in partnership with Fayetteville, CH2M Hill and the Beaver Watershed Alliance through an Environmental Protection Agency and Arkansas Natural Resources commission grant.
